Ben Affleck was decked out in a tux this evening for the black-tie premiere of The Town. His costars Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm were decked out in matching Dolce & Gabbana. The handsome trio of guys, along with Rebecca Hall, was more casual this morning for their photo call. Jeremy had a supportive moment as they sat down for the screening, where he grabbed Ben’s hand before watching his latest directorial effort. Ben’s movie is one of the biggest films showing during the Venice Film Festival, which also brought Hollywood stars like Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, and Jessica Alba over to Italy. Ben’s mingling with fellow cinema people in Europe while his wife Jennifer Garner holds down the fort back home in LA, where she’s taking care of Seraphina and Violet’s tutu wearing dance class runs.

Lindsay Lohan kicked off her Labor Day weekend with a trip to The Grove in LA on Friday night. She had a relatively low-key holiday and was excited to celebrate Machete, which came in third at the box office. Lindsay congratulated all her costars, though she didn’t join them on any of the premiere red carpets instead letting Jessica Alba handle all the promotion. Lindsay will be the center of attention soon when she settles on where she’s giving her first post-jail interview. Rumor has it the Today show is trying to land LL, but no final decisions have been made yet.

The sightings come as Miss Alba is in the midst of promoting her new movie “Machete” – which hits theaters on Friday, September 3rd.
The 29-year-old also just announced plans to star in Robert Rodriguez’s “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.”
Robert, who also directed “Machete,” told MTV of picking Jessica for his hit franchise, “I was so inspired, seeing her on [the 'Machete'] set trying to be beautiful for the camera and yet having to [run off] to change her baby’s diaper. I thought, ‘You know what, that would be great as a spy mom, I’ve got to write that in.”
Sure enough, that’s exactly what he did, as Rodriguez adds, “I wrote that into the script, based on her.”
